No reservation is needed. Pan y Pepinillos Café is a walk-in only specialty coffee shop. The space is small, so during peak hours (10AM–12PM and weekend brunch 12PM–2PM) there may be a short wait.

We rotate specialty coffee roasters from Europe and Spain. Our selection changes regularly to bring customers new single-origin beans. We only work with single-origin coffees, never blends.

Pan y Pepinillos Café serves one of the most-praised matcha lattes in Madrid. We use ceremonial-grade matcha and offer it with oat, almond, soy, coconut or lactose-free milk. It’s one of our signature drinks and a regular favourite alongside our pistachio latte.
Do you serve plant-based milks?
Yes. We offer oat, almond, soy, coconut and lactose-free milk for all coffee drinks at no extra charge.
What’s the difference between specialty coffee and regular coffee?
Specialty coffee is graded 80+ points on a 100-point scale by certified Q-graders. It focuses on transparent sourcing, careful roasting and skilled brewing — bringing out the natural flavors of single-origin beans without bitterness or burnt notes.

Do you have homemade pastries?
Yes. Our pastry counter is curated daily — brioche, banana bread, cinnamon rolls and energy balls. Our bakery selection is carefully sourced and rotated regularly.
Do you have vegan options?
Yes. Several brunch dishes are vegan or can be made vegan. We also offer vegan pastries and all coffee drinks can be prepared with plant milks.
When’s the best time to come for breakfast or brunch?
Breakfast and brunch are served daily 8 AM to 3 PM. For the calmest experience come early (before 10 AM) or late afternoon. Weekday mornings are quieter than weekends.

Can I bring my laptop to work or study?
No. Laptops are not allowed at Pan y Pepinillos Café. Our space is designed for a relaxed coffee experience, not as a workspace.

Pan y Pepinillos Café in central Madrid is a no-laptop specialty coffee shop. We made this choice early on to protect the experience: the space is for coffee, conversation and a slow pastry, not remote work. Regulars often tell us it’s why they keep coming back.
How big is the café?
Pan y Pepinillos Café is small and intentionally designed. Inside there are a few seats at the bar and at small tables. There’s also a window bench outside for warm afternoons.
Is the café accessible for wheelchair users?
The entrance is at street level. The interior is compact, so please contact us in advance if you have specific accessibility needs and we’ll do our best to make your visit comfortable.
